The best kind of days
…involve food, followed by dessert. Dessert is what determines the degree of my happiness. Forever 21 dress, shoes, purse; Arden B leather jacket Grabbed brunch with the lovely Valerie last weekend at Ponty Bistro, a cute little place where I feasted on crab benedict. Afterwards, we made our way to Chikalicious Dessert Club for the most amazing strawberry shortcake & ice cream combo, ever. I’ve been meeting some seriously awe inspiring people as of late. It’s always so inspiring to … Continue reading
Glossybox vs Birchbox
If you’re female and you’ve talked to me about cosmetics in the past year, you’ll have heard me sing praises to Birchbox. As a commitment phobe to beauty products (what if there’s something better?!) I really, really like sample sized products. Plus they’re great to pack for traveling. And I get to try new things every month. And they’re packaged all nice so it feels like I’m getting a monthly surprise gift. Previously, I also tried MyGlam, but felt the … Continue reading

Shoes: H&M yellow flats
H&M ballet flats in yellow These were probably the worst shoes to buy in the history of shoes to potentially wear in NYC. After just two small trips outside, they’ve collected dirt marks that I can’t seem to wipe off. Fortunately, they were less than $15. Ladies, note to you: do not wear shoes that can easily get dirty in New York City. Because New York City is a dirty, dirty city. And yes, I mean that in more ways … Continue reading
Black meets gold & living the dream
H&M top; Zara skirt & flats; Coach court bag A recently hectic schedule has caused a temporary gap in blogging. This post, along with many others, are long overdue. What’s new with my life? I’ve recently started freelancing full-time (check out my portfolio)! I couldn’t be happier. Let me count the ways: I live in NYC (and in the middle of Manhattan!). I get to set my own schedule. I can work from anywhere. I can have two hour long lunch … Continue reading

Shoes: H&M faux suede green pumps
Ladies and gents, I have a confession: I have a shoe fetish. Okay, that was a bit dramatic. And the word “fetish” may be taking your imagination into realms I did not intend. What I meant to say was I love shoes. You can call it a mild obsession. The first thing I browse in a store are shoes. I’m a size 6 (if anyone cares) and I’ve bought 6 pairs of shoes in the 6 weeks that I’ve been … Continue reading
Even shorter hair
I’ve been going to the same hair stylist in Houston for the past 8 years–since I was 16! Admittedly, I’ve cheated on him a few times and it’s been an on/off relationship because I always think there might be someone better out there, yet I always come back because no one seems to understand the way my hair flows like this guy does. (Analogy? Maybe?) Now that I’m hundreds of miles away, I had no choice but to find a new stylist as … Continue reading
